I am clearly not cut out for life in the Mile-High City -- or in Colorado overall, I think. I've been exhausted from the moment I arrived (going from nearly sea-level DC to 10,000-foot Breckenridge over the course of 12 hours doesn't allow for an easy transition to high altitude). I thought things might get better once I got down to Denver, since it's a good bit lower than the Rockies, but no. I am still crushingly tired, headachey, and having little nosebleeds, so the high life is clearly not for me. I'll be back on the East Coast by bedtime, and can hardly wait. It's a shame, really, because it is beyond beautiful out here, and Denver is a fun city, but I just can't take feeling worn down and out of it all the time.
